JAILBIRDS : Bwa Kayiman

My first entry into VR, this first chapter of Jailbirds - an adaptation of the cult comic book “Paulot s’évade” by Philippe Foerster - was developed by a small team at THE PACK which I had the pleasure of supervising. Next to that, I also developed the look of the film (interpretation of the concept art and creation of a custom shader in Unity) and I did the animatic/layout (in VR these two are the same thing). I continued the idea of graphical 3D from my graduation film here, which matched the comic book/drawing esthetic the director wanted. The grey, claustrophobic environment was lit in a contrasted way reminiscent of film noir.
